What it is

Medical ozone: what it is and what it does

Ozone (O₃) is a gas made of three oxygen atoms. Medical ozone is a precise mixture of ozone and oxygen (O₂) that, administered by a doctor in controlled doses and concentrations, has proven antiseptic, analgesic, anti-inflammatory and immunoregulatory action.

In our practice we use it as therapeutic support within a global medical plan for chronic pain, joint conditions, central sensitisation syndromes such as fibromyalgia, and tissue regeneration.

Scientific basisUsed in medicine for over a century, with dedicated literature and medical societies.
Well toleratedNo allergic reactions and no interactions with your usual medication.
OutpatientMost sessions are performed in the clinic, without hospital admission.
ComplementaryIt does not replace other treatments; it is integrated into your medical plan.
Medical services

What we do at the clinic

Ozone therapy and regenerative-medicine techniques applied with clinical judgement.

Medical ozone therapy

Application of medical ozone using techniques tailored to each condition and patient. Prior assessment and clinical follow-up.

Paravertebral infiltrations

Non-surgical alternative for disc herniation and low-back or neck pain: ozone is delivered around the affected disc.

Joint infiltrations

Knee, hip, shoulder and other joints. Especially useful in osteoarthritis and chronic injuries.

Pain management

Comprehensive treatment of chronic and inflammatory pain, combining infiltrations and systemic routes when needed.

Fibromyalgia & fatigue

Personalised programmes with medical ozone to improve widespread pain, fatigue and quality of life.

PRGF · Platelet-rich growth factors

Autologous technique with your own blood, indicated for musculoskeletal injuries.

How we work

A clinical plan built around you

No two patients are alike. This is our standard process.

Sessions

Outpatient treatment at the clinic, with single-use materials and controlled concentrations.

4

Follow-up

Periodic review to adjust the plan and measure results.

Benefits of medical ozone

Why it is used

Effects documented in the medical literature at therapeutic doses and concentrations.

Analgesic & anti-inflammatoryReduces local pain and inflammation.
OxygenatingImproves oxygen delivery to tissues and cellular metabolism.
AntioxidantStimulates the body's own antioxidant systems.
ImmunomodulatingHelps regulate the immune response.
RegenerativeSupports tissue repair and healing.
AntisepticActive against bacteria, fungi and viruses.
Ozone therapy does not replace other medical treatments. Indication, dose and route of administration must always be decided by a doctor after assessing the individual case.
Routes of application

How it is administered

We choose the route according to the condition, always in the clinic.

We no longer perform discolysis, as it requires an operating theatre. For disc herniation we use paravertebral ozone infiltrations, which achieve good outcomes on an outpatient basis.
  1. AutohemotherapyThe most common systemic route: a small blood sample is processed with ozone and reinfused.
  2. Paravertebral infiltrationGuided infiltration around the affected intervertebral disc — no operating theatre needed.
  3. Joint infiltrationDirect injection into the joint (knee, hip, shoulder, etc.) for osteoarthritis and chronic injuries.
  4. TopicalSkin or mucosal contact (bagging, ozonised oil, insufflations) for ulcers and local conditions.
